Construction
The EPL utilizes 6061-T6 aluminum construction that's Type III Hard Coat anodized for durability. All hardware is black nitride plated for corrosion resistance and the tailcap is made from impact-resistant injection molded polymer. Additionally, the EPL incorporates the same impact-resistant lens as our proven MCH handheld, further enhancing its performance.
The EPL is IPX-7 water proof, built-to-last, and fully Buy American Act Certified.

Innovation
When creating the EPL we looked at what was lacking in the pistol light market. Until now, you had to choose between high-lumen and low-candela offerings, or high-candela and low-lumen offerings. That didn't sit well with us. In typical Cloud fashion, we set to combine ALL factors when creating a pistol light meant for real-world applications at real-world pistol distances.

At 1,200 lumens the EPL is impressively bright, creating a massive amount of spill that fills a room corner to corner with light to maintain situational awareness. On the other end of the spectrum, 52,000 candela allows one to punch through photonic barriers such as smoke, window tint and other light sources with ease. Combine that with our large and purpose driven "hot spot", and you have the recipe for a pistol light that excels in every aspect.

The toggles are also an important topic of discussion. The EPL features an ergonomic and intuitive forward-push activation method, allowing you to maintain your shooting grip while activating or deactivating your light using a “thumbs forward” motion, or with your trigger finger outside of the trigger guard. Additionally, the toggles are ambidextrous and come in two different sizes for customization.

Notice the difference in both spill and hot spot between these two pistol lights. The EPL effectively illuminates Subject 1 at the end of the hall, even through glass, while Subject 2 is visible thanks to large amounts of spill light.


Now a competitors pistol light. Like EPL, this light has no problem illuminating Subject 1 even through glass, but its more focused hot spot provides little spill leaving Subject 2 nearly invisible.

Power
The EPL Duty is designed for flat-top, unprotected 18350-C batteries to ensure peak reliability and performance. Battery changes can be made through the front of the light by simply unscrewing the head. No need to remove the light from your pistol.
Fully tested to ANSI/PLATO-FL1 standards.

Compatibility
From the start we designed the EPL to be compatible with all popular duty-style holsters such as Safariland® 6000 and 7000 series, LAS Concealment®, Aliengear®, Bladetech®, and more. In most cases the EPL will drop right in to all X300 and TLR-1 style light bearing duty holsters.

Included are two sets or toggles (short and extended) that allow you to customize the EPL to your hand size and application. You can also mix and match based on your needs. For example, you can use the extended toggle for your dominate hand and a short toggle for your support hand, or vice versa. In addition, we have included three recoil lugs: Picatinny, Glock®, and Sig® to ensure a precise and secure fit on your pistol.
