The Inevitable March to the RL-100

2018. The Light Control System (LCS). Designed to harden existing lights at the time, it did just that. The HLX® was the primary driver in that moment. The overwhelming success of the LCS built Cloud as we know it today. And it taught us a very important lesson:

How did we do it? Simple. We worked with our trusted manufacturing partner offshore. We revamped design features of the REIN series, simplifying the system.

We maintained our class-leading combination of candela and lumen output. Because performance is nonnegotiable. And yep, we updated the aesthetics and packaged it all together for you.

A Word on Performance

The fastest performance summary ever: The output and beam profile is the same as the REIN 3.0, which is unmatched. Massive throw capability with useable spill. Optimized for rifle-mounted applications. There is not a better beam profile on the market.

Innovation Merged with Simplicity

Our REIN series utilizes our battery-jack. The RL-100 does not. It's not needed. The RL-100 uses a USB-C Rechargeable 18650 battery. And the system is optimized for that. This maximizes life-saving performance. This minimizes technical issues. This simplifies design. 

Switching Matters

Each RL-100 ships with the same remote switch design that the REIN uses.

Constant-on at the remote switch with a momentary over-ride feature. And a push-button forward-click activation at the tailcoat for operational redundancy. That feature is critical. One of many that sets it apart from the others.

Yes, it will work with our domestically-made switches, including the dual spectrum switches for light/laser integration. 

The cable length is still 6", just like REIN.

Integrated Cable Control included. As always. 

The tail cap housing features similar geometry as the REIN, allowing you to "clock" it's orientation relative to your hand guard for optimal wire housing and protection. 

Light mounts

We ship RL-100 with a simple, familiar inline MLOK® mount. You don't need to source a dedicated new mount unless you want to. Same Scout® style mounts. No friction there. 

Testing

We've been putting the RL-series lights through training and live fire for well over a year. This is not a new product to us. It's just one you have not seen. If you were paying attention at SHOT Show in January in 2025 you might have seen a prototype sitting there on the counter. This is a very proven light.  

Warranty

Limited Lifetime Warranty. Like everything else we offer you. We have your back on this. As always. If it fails under normal use, you get a new one. And yes, it's just as tough as the REIN.

Construction

Engineered to be shockproof, dust-proof, waterproof and built to last. The RL-100 will handle the abuse of real world situations. By utilizing REIN design and Type III Hard Coat anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, we are able to achieve an ultra robust system that can take the hits. Our strongest-in-class lens is made from 3mm thick glass. This is what we are known for. The RL-100 is the same. The machines that make it simply sit on different soil. 

Power

RL-100 runs on a rechargeable button-top 18650 battery. ANSI/PLATO-FL1 performance standards, as usual.
